Meaning
of educational technology
There are three views different E educational Technology. As the first
views
Educational Technology refers
to application of Technology instrumentation useful to the process of teaching.
This is the views of Finn and his colleagues’.
Second views:_ Of educational Technology refers to application of scientific
principles to instruction. These are the view of SKINNER, gangue and others the
first view stress on the use of hard ware in education. The second view emphasizes
the psychological principals of learning. The third view of education the
educational technology as described by DAVIES HARTLIY in coporates both the
first and second views through application of the systems approach to education
and training.
According
to this view education should be conceded a system in which men, machines, method,
media and materials are inter related parts. These parts are organized in such
a way that they work to gather in a pre- planned manner for the fulfillment of
specified educational objectives.
Even when
we consider educational technology approach leading to productive
Education we should not under
estimate the application of modern technological like the computer, L C D projector,
internet facilities etc, in the field of
instruction both teaching and learning. Such application of technological machine
in the education in often conceived as technology in education. On the other
hand maintains of the technological approach in which proven psychological and
pedagogical principles are systematically and effectively applied in teaching
and learning. It is described as technology of education. Thus it could be said
that technologies reflected in programmed instruction.

council of Educational Technology (NCET) defined educational technology in 1967
in its second meeting as,” The development, application and evaluation of
systems techniques and aids to improve the process of human learning.
